There are two kinds of sound-proof doors. The first one is for the sound-proofing of the space, whereas the second one is more complex, as it provides, except from sound-proofing, fire protection as well. However, both of these have the same applications.
1. Sound-proofing
|
The one leaf or two leaf sound-proof doors are ideal for installations where there are strict criteria in relation with the sound pollution of the environment as their special construction guarantees the best sound-proofing. In accordance with the client's needs they can be used even as inside or outside doors, while it is also given the possibility of choice of open direction.

| There is a large variety of doors with different sound-proofing prizes, which start from the 41 dB and reach to 56dB.Prizes even larger than the 56dB can be reached with special constructions. What is more, except from the large variety in designs and sizes, there can be special orders too. |
2. Sound-proofing/Fire protection
|
The sound-proof/fireresist doors are ideal when there are strict criteria of sound-proofing and fire protection. The best sound-proofing is Rw=51dB and the resistance in fire is 60min according to the NEN 6069; 1991(NL). The doors have been tried in "TNO Centre for Fire Safety" in Rijswijk. There is a large variety in sizes, if an order is possible to be done for a door with sizes which are not in the catalogue.
Even in extremely difficult and peculiar situations (e.g. doors for heavy industry, where the sound-proofing and the fire protection is of high importance and the sizes are in different scale in comparison with the common applications) DOMONORM is in position to find the appropriate solution.
